The client wanted to grow market share for the resort, measured by lodging and lift ticket sales. Only 4% of Americans are skiers, a percentage that remains flat year-over-year. This small population is widely distributed geographically and often brand-loyal (many consumers visit their favorite resorts for years). As such, growing market share is particularly challenging and customer retention is crucial.
