A holding company with 10 separate business units.

Goal

Create a central point of truth to evaluate business unit and historic performance. Centralize and unify unstructured and disparate data.

Strategy

Build a data model to connect more than one hundred data sources, including ten eCommerce engines, multiple programmatic buying and ad serving platforms, as well as call center and site visitation data sources. Source and warehouse data from these systems using API and custom connections. Use custom mappings and transformations to create a unified set of data all speaking the same language. Design a dashboard that is simple and easy to use, while also providing all necessary data for decision making.

Results

We built a dashboard to visualize this data in a simplified view. At the click of a button, our client is now able to compare business unit and timeframe performance using the dashboard tables, visualizations, and filters. Empowered with this knowledge, they are able to identify trends, areas of strength or weakness, and set the business on a course for success.
